RETURN AND EXCHANGE POLICY
 
OVERVIEW

We aspire to work towards ensuring you have a blissful experience with House of Deepthi. However, if due to some unforeseen circumstances you are not happy with your purchase then please do write to us at info@houseofdeepthiltd.com or care@houseofdeepthiltd.com contact us over phone call or WhatsApp at +91 88284 17199.

IMPORTANT POINTERS

  • Never send back an item without consulting with us. It‚Äôs very important that you DO NOT send the item back to us until you have verified with us. No return or¬†exchange will be given for items sent without our approval.¬†¬†
  • Any return or exchange requests placed 7-14 days after dispatch will not be eligible for a return
  • The customer must inform the business within the first 48 to 72 hours after delivery. The customer must state their order name, number and reason for return. Be as specific as possible when describing the problem, as all returned items are examined for defects/variations.
  • Only items that have a manufacturing defect are applicable for an exchange or refund in the form of store credit. Any other issues apart from a manufacturing or product defect are not applicable for return, refund or exchange. Subject to House of Deepthi's approval.
  • The customer must send an unpacking video of the product for which they would like the return to be eligible for a return. Please ensure that the video is taken clearly and the issue is shown on the video.¬†
  • Item must have its labels and tags attached in the original packaging to be eligible for a return.
  • Items to be returned must be unused, unworn, and unwashed
  • Damaged or soiled products will not be eligible for a return.
  • We will not accept returns on any custom made outfits or replicas of any product designed and manufactured by House of Deepthi.
  • Products will only be exchanged if they meet our terms and conditions. Safe delivery to you is our responsibility. However, we would request you take the utmost care when sending back the product for a return or exchange. If something happens in transit and the package doesn‚Äôt get delivered to us, please understand that in those scenarios we won't be able to assist you further.¬†
  • No returns or refunds are applicable for products sold under¬†SALE or DISCOUNT.

 

WHEN THE RETURN DOES NOT MEET THE POLICY CRITERIA

If the customer’s return is not eligible for a return, by not meeting the criteria above, we will courier the garment back to you with shipping charges borne by the customer.

A customer's repeated refusal of COD orders could lead to the barring of customer’s COD facility without any intimation. For any repeated return of products from a customer i.e. around 50% of the delivered products, the customer will be intimated that future orders will be delivered on a non-cancellation and non-return basis. Afterwards, all future orders will be processed on the conditions stated above.

 We aspire to close the return issue within 15-20 days of receiving the return package from you. The House of Deepthi will not be liable for any damage that happens during return shipping.

The customer agrees not to dispute any return decision and accept the eligibility process conducted by The House of Deepthi. 

 

EXCHANGE POLICY AND SIZE RELATED ISSUES

  • We only exchange products and¬†DO¬†NOT refund.¬†¬†
  • Exchanges are only available for products where there is a sizing issue. These would be applicable for any of the dresses or menswear apparel on the site and would not be applicable for sarees.
  • This would not be applicable for any made to order or couture products. However, if you would like to get any alterations made, we would love to be of assistance.
  • For us to understand your claim, kindly send an unpacking video of the product to help us understand the issue to help you further. Refusal to send us a video of the product will automatically reject the claim for an exchange.
  • If your claim is considered legitimate, we will arrange a pick-up from the location the customer has provided and will initiate the return process after we have received and checked the garment.
  • In the unlikely scenario where a pickup facility is not available at your provided pin code, it is the customer‚Äôs responsibility to ship the product back to¬†the House of Deepthi office after given an approval from our side. This delivery would be at the customer‚Äôs own risks, costs & responsibility.
  • The House of Deepthi will not be liable for any issues with this pick up or delivery.
  • In the scenario where a reverse pick-up has been delayed or is incomplete due to any reason owing to the customer or the courier company's mistake, the¬† responsibility for ensuring the return is booked lies on the customer. The customer must contact House of Deepthi to arrange for the pick-up again. Failure to contact us promptly to arrange for a reverse pick-up again may lead to rejection for return request.
  • In the scenario where the size requested is not available, we would offer you an exchange for a different product on the website of the same value ‚Äď subject to availability. Our standard Returns and Cancellation policy is applicable here.
  • It is important for a customer to understand that once a garment is exchanged, the garment CANNOT be exchanged again.

To avoid any issues with fittings and sizing, please see the sizing guide available in every product page. We reserve the right to refuse the exchange or refund of your garment if it has not returned in the condition sent to you.

STORE CREDIT

    Only applicable if the return is considered eligible as per the return policy criteria stated above.

    • Store credits will be provided only for those products that have been approved as a return by us due to a product or manufacturing defect and cannot be exchanged for another product.
    • Refunds in the form of store credit will be initiated after a complete quality check of the garment has been completed by¬†the House of Deepthi team.
    • Store credits will be provided in the form of a code which can be used for future purchases. The code will be of a one-time usage.
    • All store credits will be sent to customers within 7-14 days after receiving the return of the approved garment.
    • Store Credit will be issued only after we receive back the product and validate the return.
    • The shipping charges will be deducted after which the store credit will be issued to the customer.
    • Store credits are applicable for only a period of 60 days from the date of issue.

    PRODUCT CANCELLATIONS

    • The customer can cancel the cash on delivery orders during the WhatsApp confirmation message received right after an order is placed. By clicking on cancel during this WhatsApp confirmation message, your order will be cancelled and not shipped by the¬†House of Deepthi team.
    • Orders cannot be cancelled after it has been shipped. This is applicable for both paid and cash on delivery orders.
    • For prepaid orders, customers may request an exchange for any other product on the website of the same value (subject to availability). We can also offer the customer store credit against the payment which can be used for future collections.

    We, at The House of Deepthi, reserve the right at our sole discretion to cancel or refuse orders for any reason. There may be certain orders which we are unable to accept or deliver due to reasons such as limitations on the quantities available for purchase, errors or technical difficulties in processing the order, errors with product or pricing information, or any problems identified by our credit and fraud avoidance department.  

    The customer agrees not to dispute the decision made by The House of Deepthi and accepts our decision regarding the cancellation.

     

    SUGGESTED PRACTICES WHEN ACCEPTING THE PARCEL FROM THE COURIER PARTNER

    Be alert when accepting the parcel from courier!

    If the outer packing is damaged or tampered with, do verify the quality and quantity of the items with invoice before accepting the package from the courier agency. In case of any discrepancy, either refuse to accept delivery or accept delivery only after putting a suitable remark on the proof of delivery. Also lodge a proper complaint with the local office of the courier agency, so that we may pursue them.

     

    COLOUR AND DESCRIPTION DISCLAIMER


    The details of the products or product specifications (for instance weight, colour, handwork details, size, etc) quoted with the product displays are only approximate values.

    We, at House of Deepthi, firmly believe that all the customers who order online are aware that colours may seem slightly different as compared to the actual outfits or accessories ordered.

    While every endeavour has been made to accurately reproduce colours, there may be variations in the colour of the actual product because of the nature of fabric dyes, weather at the time of dying and differences in display output due to lighting and digital photography and colour settings and capabilities of monitors.

    It is practically impossible for House of Deepthi to replicate the same colours on an outfit as seen on your monitor. A variation in the shade selected by you is considered as a normal practice as these garments have a tendency to reflect different shades of a colour under different light and weather, type of camera used for photography or type and settings on the computer monitor.

    We wish to clarify and ascertain that every customer who orders any outfit from House of Deepthi is aware of this genuine problem.

     

    TIPS FOR ONLINE SHOPPING AND MUST KNOW INFORMATION

    While ordering on the internet, we suggest that customers should be extra careful of following ‚Äď

    1. Red, maroon and orange colours have a higher tendency to reflect a different shade than other colours. For example, even if you yourself try to photograph from a digital camera or scan a red garment, in most of the cases it will show either as maroon or orange on the computer monitor and vice versa. Though imaging technology has advanced, still no fool proof solution to this problem is available at the moment.
    2. Many times green and blue shades also overlap. Th same is the case with off-white, white and cream colours.
    3. Sea Green colour sometimes looks Aqua blue and the other way around.
    4. Some fabrics like raw silk, khadi silk, cotton silk, south cotton, brocade have a textured effect where we can see the weaving & threads are visible in different directions which is an inherent characteristic or feature of that fabric and proof of its authenticity. These are not defects. This raw finish is the beauty of these fabrics.
    5. Handcrafted, hand dyed, hand printed, hand painted, hand embroidered, handloom, hand weaved products will always have minor differences when we compare them as they are not made by machines. Each piece will be unique. Handicraft artisans always try their best to make each piece better than the previous one. So, the product will always have minor variation keeping the same theme constant in an artistic manner. The raw finish of the handicrafts cannot be compared with machine finished products as this raw finish is the beauty of the handicrafts items.

     

    MANUFACTURING ERRORS OR DEFECTS

    How to proceed in the unlikely scenario of manufacturing defects or issues with beads and sequences missing or detached to the product. Please note that we conduct a thorough quality check to minimise the chances of such errors taking place.

    We believe that customers who are ordering items with sequence and other beaded embroidery are aware of the fact that these shiny embellishments have a tendency to come off. Even with the best of handling and care, this cannot be avoided altogether.

    Many times during strict physical checking at the customs during transit, more than usual sequences and beads come off. Many times it may happen that you open a box and find some pieces falling down on the floor. Or you wear the dress and in a few hours you might lose some of them. We will, however, work towards ensuring a smooth delivery without any product flaws or defects.
